Wie zijn wij
An outstanding opportunity for a highly skilled, analytical and organized IT professional with valuable SAP-MDG experience
AkzoNobel creates everyday essentials to make people’s lives more livable and inspiring. We are a leading global producer of paints & coatings, supplying essential ingredients, essential protection and essential color to industries and consumers worldwide.
Central to our current and future success is a Global Business Services (GBS) capability that is driving greater efficiency, effectiveness, and enhanced customer service levels across areas including Procurement, HR, Finance and IM.
Within this context, your mission in this role is to ensure an overarching point of view of our Master Data across processes and businesses by building bridges between business processes and data models. In doing so you translate functional requirements into conceptual and logical data models and business rules, aligning closely with the Data Domain Expert from the GBS MDM Center of Experitse (CoE) and other solution architects within IM.
Is this a challenge that matches your profile as a highly analytical and quality-focused professional who can solve problems and identify opportunities using your understanding and analysis of available information? Have you acquired the knowledge and credibility necessary to influence and convince internal and external parties? Can you comprehend and respond to the realities and possibilities of new trends and technologies? Above all, do you have what it takes to make a real difference within our dynamic, multinational and multicultural business environment?
If you offer all this and more we invite you to apply for the role of Functional Domain Manager MDM/Solution Architect
The role and its responsibilities
You will be working as a Solution Architect and in the near future you will be managing a small team of MDM Solution Architects. This key role is based at our regional hub in Arnhem, the Netherlands. From here you support demand management in writing project charters and translation into detailed requirements, translating requirements into solutions and architecture within roadmaps
Thus you draw conclusions based on the analysis of different options. You then advise on different alternatives, and, after approval, ensure the implementation of proposed solutions.
This requires you to ensure that solutions are compatible with the existing (technical) architecture and comply with strategy, policy, guidelines, budget, and operational supportability. You also establish impact assessments and design tests and documents using a structured approach in template models, ensuring quality and consistency with template design for deployments.
This demands the ability to manage effective relationship with multiple stakeholders e.g. Regional/Cluster Managers, IM Supply teams, key users, business project manager and process owners demand and suppliers at a tactical level. You also participate in and co-manage functional/technical expertise team meetings.
At all times you monitor the market to gain knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies, evaluating their likely relevance for the organization.
Further, you proactively seek continuous business and service improvement opportunities and influence others regarding the role and relevance of Solution Architecture in the business. You also drive knowledge, training, and support, and seek opportunities to build cross-functional working relationships.
You act as a Solution Architect for (mainly) mono disciplinary projects up to 100K.
Given the above tasks and requirements, it is essential that you remain neutral toward technology, vendor and product choices, prioritizing results above personal preferences.
To apply for this position you must possess all the following attributes:
- Master/Bachelor degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field;
- Broad knowledge and experience of architecture, IT security, technology platforms and business domains, with a minimum 2 to 3 years' experience of implementing or supporting SAP-MDG (ideally in version 9 on HANA) a prerequisite;
- Knowledge of best practice solutions in the shared solutions space as well as business process modelling and infrastructure/application architecture design frameworks (TOGAF), tools, technologies, methodologies and consequences;
- Strong knowledge of the ‘Where-Used’ of Master Data objects, in processes and for reporting, i.e. good understanding of conceptual data modeling and an overarching process view;
- Experience of implementing Master Data Quality reports using Information Stewards and BO Data Services, with experience of SAP ECC preferred;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills across multiple channels, including fluent written and spoken English.
